Imagine a museum housed within an extraordinary, never-before-seen architectural wonder—an impressive toroidal structure that soars 77 meters high. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Killa Design, the Museum of the Future is adorned with intricate Arabic calligraphic inscriptions that add a touch of elegance to its futuristic façade.
But the Museum is more than just a remarkable piece of architecture. It serves as the epicenter for the city’s visionary ‘Great Arab Minds’ initiative, a global intellectual movement dedicated to identifying 1,000 exceptional Arab talents across various pivotal fields.
It’s also a hub of immersive experiences, thanks to the creative minds of multidisciplinary collective, Marshmallow Laser Feast. Their work is dedicated to capturing the essence of tropical rainforests, addressing urgent climate issues, and tackling the complex task of ecosystem restoration.
The collective has also created a trio of captivating artworks that beckon visitors to step into a journey of sensory exploration. While visitors immerse themselves in these stunning creations, they’re also prompted to think about humanity’s role in preserving and revitalizing ecosystems.

    The Forest

The adventure begins with a visit to “The Forest,” a digital recreation of the Amazon rainforest in Leticia, Colombia. This immersive experience is a testament to cutting-edge technology and an extensive data collection process that brings this ecosystem to life in astonishing detail.
As you enter the Museum of The Future's rainforest, you’re greeted by an immersive multisensory video installation that transports you to a vast, otherworldly space. It’s a spellbinding expedition that not only reveals the ties between humanity and the ever-changing environment, but also encourages us to reflect on our responsibility in safeguarding the natural world.

    The Living Wall

Moving on to the second art, we have “The Living Wall.” This is the second of three Museum of the Future’s experiences that focuses on audiovisual installation, wherein you discover a narrative dedicated to biodiversity. It’s an ecosystem in its own right, one that seems to breathe and share bio-information with all who step into its presence.
It is like a beautifully crafted collage, blending physical and digital elements to conjure an imaginative tableau of tropical plant characteristics. It also serves as a peek into the resilience and ingenuity of nature, inviting us to appreciate the complexity of the natural world at a time where people demand environmental challenges.

    The Lab

Now, let’s step into the world of “The Lab.” Here, visitors are welcomed into a tropical ecosystem simulator that engages all the senses in an immersive experience. It’s a space where you are given the chance to experiment with various plant species.
The Lab serves as a captivating window into the fascinating interdependence of various species and the larger natural systems they’re a part of. As we delve into this immersive environment, we gain a deeper understanding of how collaborative ecosystems thrive in harmonious balance and the complexities that govern them.
