Ayodhya Verdict: The Supreme Court bench ruled that the Hindu's claim that the Ram was born in Ayodhya is undisputed. The court upheld the claim that the disputed Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid site is the birthplace of Ram. The court ruled that the whole of the disputed land will be given to the Hindus for the construction of a Ram Temple and five acres of alternate land will be provided to the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a Mosque. 

Supreme Court in its landmark judgement on November 9, 2019 dismissed Nirmohi Akhara's claim to the land but the court mandated its representation in the trust to be set up by the centre. 

The Ayodhya verdict was read out by a five-judge constitution bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and comprising Justices SA Bobde, Ashok Bhushan, DY Chandrachud and S Abdul Nazeer.

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 11.36 am: SC Judgement on Ayodhya dispute: Key Points

1. The whole of the disputed Ayodhya land to be given to the Hindu parties for construction of Ram Mandir.

2.  The Sunni Waqf Board to be allotted 5 acres of alternate land in a prominent place in Ayodhya. 

3. The alternate land will be provided either by the centre or the state. 

4. The centre will hand the disputed land to the trust that will be set up within 3 months. 

5. Nirmohi Akhara will also be given representation in the board of trustees. 

6. The trust will monitor and manage the construction of the grand Ram Temple at the site. 

7. The judgement has not made any party a winner or a loser: SC. 

8. The Hindu belief that Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya is undisputed. 

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 11.30 am: The Supreme Court ruled that the disputed site is one whole. The apex court dismissed the previous judgement by the Allahabad High Court, which had divided the land into three parts. The court stated that there is no evidence of namaz being offered exclusively in the disputed structure. The court ruled that evidence suggests that the Hindus continued to pray there. 

The court stated that Muslims haven't been able to establish possessory right to the disputed property. The Court added by saying that no namaz was offered at the site after 1949.

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 11.29 am: The Supreme Court clearly condemned the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992 and called it a violation of law. The SC said that though evidence suggests that there was a structure underneath the mosque, there is no evidence that Babar demolished the temple to build the mosque.

The court also ruled that the Sunni WAQF Board had shifted and altered its stand.

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 9.55 am: Security has been increased in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Ayodhya, ahead of the Ayodhya verdict. Section 144 has been imposed in Ayodhya as well till December 10. Police personnel have been deployed at the entrance of the Ayodhya city. The security has also been deployed near the Ram Janmabhoomi police station. 

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 9.50 am: Section 144 has been imposed in all 10 districts of Jammu and Kashmir from midnight. The section restricts the assembly of 5 or more people. All schools and colleges will remain shut in J&K till further orders. 

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 9.50 am: All schools,  colleges  and other educational institutions have been closed in Uttar Pradesh till Monday, ahead of the verdict. The schools and colleges in Jammu, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have also been shut as a precautionary measure. All government schools and many private schools in Delhi are also shut due to the politically-sensitive nature of the case. The Delhi Government has advised the private institutions also to remain closed today. 

Ayodhya Verdict LIVE Updates @ 9.50 am: The Supreme Court Chief Justice, Ranjan Gogoi, is set to retire on November 17. The CJI held a special meeting with UP Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari and DGP Om Prakash Singh ahead of the verdict pronouncement to take a stock of the security arrangements made in the state.

The bench had reserved its order on the long-standing dispute on October 16.
