Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan' returns to TV on July 3 amid 'Adipurush' controversy

Starting from the shoddy VFX to the dialogues, the film seems to have not met the expectations of the moviegoers. Amid this, it has now been announced that Ramanand Sagar's popular show Ramayan will soon have a rerun on television. Shemaroo TV announced that the mythological show would begin airing from July 3 on the channel. For the uninitiated, fans have been comparing Adipurush to Ramayan.

RAMAYAN TO HAVE A RERUN ON TV

The Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan-starrer has been the talk of the town since its release. The film has been questioned for its authenticity and the representation of facts. Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram, Ramayan, even called Adipurush 'Hollywood ki cartoon.'

Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia played the roles of Ram and Sita respectively in Ramayan while Sunil Lahiri played Lakshman. Sharing a video from the TV show, the Instagram handle of Shemaroo TV wrote, "World famous mythological serial Ramayan is back for all the fans and our audience. Watch it from July 3, 7.30pm, on your favourite channel Shemaroo TV) (sic)."
