IPL Scam: Srinivasan's fate to be decided in SC's final verdict today

The Supreme Court on Thursday will give its final verdict on the IPL match-fixing scam and more importantly the fate of BCCI president-in-exile N Srinivasan.

The Supreme Court on Thursday will give its final verdict on the IPL match-fixing scam and more importantly the fate of BCCI president-in-exile N Srinivasan regarding his conflict of interest will be decided.

The existence of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings may also come up during the verdict. The bench comprising of Justice TS Thakur and Fakir Mohamed Ibrahim Kalifulla would also take a decision of an amendment that facilitated BCCI officials owning IPL teams.

The SC would most likely take a decision on BCCI's objection that the apex court could not interfere in the internal function of a registered cricket body. The annual general meeting and election of the BCCI have also been postponed till January end awaiting Thursday's final decision by the court.

After marathon hearings the Supreme Court had reserved its order saying "heavens will not fall" if BCCI officials were not part of IPL teams.
