Recently, on the Kapil Sharma Show, he said, “I am proud to be known as Genelia's husband.” As the studio resonated loud claps, Genelia and judge Archana Puran Singh also applauded Riteish’s liberal thoughts. We hear Kapil Sharma’s voice as he says “so sweet” in the video. Agreeing to it, Genelia also chimes in and says “so sweet”.

The actress pointed out how we live in a patriarchal society and women have to demand respect, but that has never been an issue with her husband. Sharing the video, se wrote, “You make me so proud @Riteishd. In a world where a woman has to keep fighting to be treated as an equal, I’m treated as one without even asking. Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh started dating in 2003 after their debut film, Tujhe Meri Kasam. The couple has been married for eight years. They have two sons, Riaan and Rahyl. While Genelia is known for her performances in films such as Santosh Subramaniam, Sachein, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na etc, Riteish has wowed audiences with his comedic performance. He was last seen in Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 3. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film garnered appreciation upon its release.
