Actor Vidya Malavade, in a latest interview, shared how all the girls on the set felt that the others were getting 'more weightage'. She also said that Shah Rukh had no airs about being a senior among so many newcomers and even helped them perfect their shots.

While speaking to YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Vidya explained why it was only natural for the girls in 'Chak De India' to feel insecure about their screen time. "It used to happen, and it was bound to happen. Main centre mein hun, mujhe aage rehna hai (I want to be in the centre, I want to be in the front). All that happened," said Vidya.

Vidya said that though there is "sisterhood" among all the girls now, during the shoot, everyone felt, "She is getting more weightage, I am not getting it." However, the actor feels it was only "natural" for the girls to feel the way they did. "It is bound to happen when you put 16 girls together. All of them have their own period cycles. It is crazy and chaotic," Vidya reasoned.

But, the actor praised Yash Raj Films, the production company behind Chak De India, for managing all of it well.

Vidya also credited Shah Rukh for helping the girls in honing their acting skills. She said, "He was so nice and accommodating. The team was like his team. He was such an influence on all of us at that time. Many of the girls in the team were new. They hardly knew about the light and angle during their shots. They were just standing there and saying their lines. But he (SRK) was instrumental in saying, 'If you stand like this, you will get better light and your face will be visible'. He helped with making the shots better."

Chak De India is among one of the finest films of Shah Rukh. Made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, the movie earned Rs 108 crore worldwide. Not only Shah Rukh, but other cast members were praised for their performances in the film as well.
