Meenakshi Amman Temple, also called as Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple is a famous Hindu temple located on the southern bank of Vaigai River in the temple city of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. This temple is dedicated to Parvati, known as Meenakshi and her consort Shiva (known as Sundareswarar here). This popular temple attracts over 15000 visitors daily and around 25000 on Fridays.
