RSS passes resolution against West Bengal govt, accuses Mamata Banerjee of Muslim appeasement

Coimbatore, Mar 21: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the political ideologue of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), passed a resolution against West Bengal government and accused the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of Muslim appeasement. In its annual general body meeting, that will conclude at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday evening, RSS’ Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) expressed grave concern over the unabated rise in violence by Jihadi elements in West Bengal.

The RSS resolution accused the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led TMC government of discriminating against Hindus in West Bengal. Calling the situation alarming, the RSS resolution said the Mamata Banerjee government is encouraging anti-national elements and fundamentalists due to its Muslim vote bank politics.

“Fatwas inciting violence are openly being issued by fundamentalist Moulavis. Hindus are being attacked by fundamentalist elements at several places including Katwa, Kaligram, Illambazar and Metiabruz (Kolkata). Large number of Hindus are being forced to flee from the border areas under the pressure of fundamentalist forces,” said RSS resolution.

The RSS resolution also slammed the CPM-led Left government in Kerala over attacks on RSS and BJP workers. The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha was chaired by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat along with his deputy Bhaiyaji Suresh Joshi.
