Nandita Das’s husband Subodh Maskara REVEALS the real reason behind their divorce

Nandita Das‘s separation with hubby Subodh Maskara brought storm on the internet. Two days ago there were reports that actress- filmmaker and activists Nandita has decided to separate from her businessman hubby Subodh.  Nandita is happy and thankful that the separation between them is very amicable. The couple issued a joint statement on their separation which reads, ” Subodh and I have decided to separate. Thankfully, it is very amicable.Our son is our foremost priority and as parents of a delightful and sensitive child we request that his and our privacy be respected. There’s nothing to hide and there’s nothing more to be said.”

When Mirror contacted Nandita to know the reason behind her divorce, she quoted , “I am in the midst of fire-fighting for my Manto film. Juggling motherhood with direction is hard enough. I have been open about my personal life, and, at the same time, very private. I hope people understand and respect that.” (Also read: 2017 starts with another Bollywood divorce! Nandita and Subodh tied knot in January 2010 and they also have a six year old son. Both Nandita and Subodh want their son not to be  affected by their separation and has given him the freedom to live with whomenver he wants. While talking to Mirror, Subodh said, ” He will always have two homes and he has no restric tions on where he wants to live,“ Subodh told Mirror, further reasoning of their divorce, “Sometimes people just drift apart and separation is the best solution for both the individuals.It helps them blossom, as was the case for us”. Indeed the couple have mutually decided to separate and the media should respect their privacy for the moment now.
