They didn't meet or talk to each other for 4 years. Then Anil got to know about a major earthquake in LA and he decided to call Tina. Tina then realised that Anil really cared for her.
Anil's parents soon realised it is best that Anil gets married to Tina and they agreed. Anil called Tina to ask when she is back in Mumbai. However, he didn't share with Tina that his parents have agreed for their marriage. Tina was unaware of all of it and she wasn't expecting this. After all this drama, the two finally tied the knot in February 1991.
