Tour Group: I'm a sailor at heart, and so it was amazing to be in Bermuda for sailings oldest and most elite competition with fellow sailing buffs and fans.

Where I Stayed: At the historic Hamilton Princess Hotel. Bermuda’s oldest hotel, it's affectionately dubbed the pink palace for its rosy facade. The new owners have filled it with contemporary art from Warhol, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Murakami, and Ai Wei Wei–which contrasts its tropical Caribbean locale. Located on a harbor, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a rum swizzle, Bermuda’s famed drink, and watch the sunset after a day at the races.

Best Thing I Ate: A fish sandwich from the famous local road side spot, Woody's. Expert tip: ask for the wahoo on raisin bread.

Best Hang Out Spot: America's Cup Village–similar to tennis matches where the atmosphere and the setting is at times just as fun to spend time in as watching the matches, the village features an array of things to do, eat, see and enjoy.

Best Daytime Activity: Watching the America’s Cup from the water aboard the historic schooner, Spirit of Bermuda. Anchored at the edge of the race course, we watched Oracle Team USA, the defending champion, compete against the challenger, Emirates Team New Zealand. Big screens on the boat along with expert commentary help you keep up with with the harrowing speed and action of the race.

Best Night Out: Dinner outside at the new Loren Hotel at Pink Beach. The food is delicious and there are absolutely stunning views of the ocean from the open air veranda.

Trip Highlight: Spending time on board the Louis Vuitton chase boat, a speed boat that literally chases the race so you can see the action up close. The foiling catamarans can reach up to speeds up to 60 miles an hour! It's exhilarating to watch as the sailors fly through the finish line.

Travel Uniform: I never go to a warm weather destination without Zimmerman’s perfect dresses for beach, boat, and and land, my Louis Vuitton lanyard for on the boat, and a sun hat for protection. I also love bringing a few pairs of sunglasses to mix and match, and an easy walking shoe for wearing on the boat, and on the beach.
