Vikram is one of Kollywood’s most anticipated films of the year. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, the Tamil film is an action thriller starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles along with Arjun Das, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram and Antony Varghese in supporting roles. 

The story revolves around the lives of two siblings: one a gangster and the other, a politician. The siblings together kidnap a government official, Vikram, who is rescued by Amar, a retired police officer.

The movie was initially scheduled for release in April 2022 but was postponed to another date. After a few delays, Vikram is finally released on June 3, 2022. As per Times of India, Vikram has been made on a budget of Rs 120 crore and has already earned Rs 200 crore in pre-sales before its theatrical release. Kamal Haasan

As per Times of India, Kamal Haasan has been paid Rs 50 crore for playing the lead role of Vikram. Vikram is a government agent commander who gets kidnaped and then rescued by a retired police officer, Amar.

Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi, who will be seen playing the role of Santhanam - one of the two siblings who kidnap the official, reportedly charged Rs 10 crore for his role.

Fahadh Faasil

Fahadh Faasil will be seen playing the role of Amar, the police officer. The Chaappa Kurishu actor has been paid Rs 4 crore for the same.

Lokesh Kanagaraj

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who started his film career with the 2016 film Aviyal, reportedly charged Rs 8 crore for making the film.

Anirudh Ravichander

The music of the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has reportedly been paid Rs 4 crore for his work.
