Not Your Basic Bougainvilleas

Even in cooler weather, the bougainvilleas are popping all over town, putting on a crazy show with their showers of bright blooms. We just brought a bunch of unusual bougainvilleas up to our San Francisco store from the farms. Come get yours!

So many reasons to love these classic Mediterranean beauties... They love life here in the bay, and they're drought-tolerant, great for low-water gardens. In SF, they're likely to give you blooms for several months of the year!

Bougainvilleas are versatile—you can train them on a fence or wires, prune them like crazy to contain them as a shrub, or grow them as a ground cover without something to climb.

Bougainvillea ‘California Gold’

These unusual varieties are coming up from our farms just bursting with color. Bougainvillea 'Imperial Thai Delight' (top pic) is softly variegated with pink and white, while Bougainvillea 'California Gold' (above) has a gorgeous sunset hue.

Bougainvillea ‘Torch Glow’

Bougainvillea 'Torch Glow' (above) is perfect for a pot; it grows in a shrub-like form instead of climbing like its cousins.

We grow these and more varieties of Bougainvillea on our farms down at Grubb & Nadler in the Rainbow Valley. Come visit us and bring some of these lovelies home to your garden!
