Missing in action 25 July 1953 and presumed dead on 26 July 1954. His remains were recovered in 1955. Private First Class Armenta was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Son of Cirilo and Paula Armenta. Brother of Manuel, Cirilo, Dolores and Maria Armenta.
