Works better than you would think
This purchase was a replacement of previously purchased sonic plug ins. Immediately, within 2 to 3 days, I saw a substantial drop in my sightings of spiders and crickets. I'm very happy with this product, it works quite well for the price and once they run out I will be purchasing in new set.

Not effective for mice.
I live in a nice trailer in Missouri. We had a lot of rain which drove mice and roaches from the outside to the inside. I got some mice by traps prior to getting these electronic units. I got 8 of them and put them in key places, especially in the kitchen and pantry. After 5 days I saw mouse damage in the pantry items and actually saw mice running in the kitchen area. I set traps and after 4 days I got 4 mice. Two were actually set under the electronic units. Not good. No evidence of roaches, but they were not seen very much. Mostly they seem to fly in through the screen door when I would go through at night.I live in a nice trailer in Missouri. PROS:I purchased a few units a few years ago, and they still work fine. My home is insect free. CONS: (maybe) based on above statement, I purchased more units to install in another country in Central America, where homes are built mainly of concrete. No wood or sheet rock. After 5 days, I still see no evidence of good results. I killed a roach last night. Does it have to do with the type of construction? I think it works, but how do you know unless you see furry or crawly critters? Anyway, I put two in my RV and I hope it keeps the creepy crawlies away. Update: I've had these for a few months now, two in my RV and four in my home. Although I can't verify the effectiveness against rodents (we haven't seen any, but they're not usually an issue), I can guarantee it DOES NOT work against ants. We went camping for four days and when we came back, our kitchen counter was covered in those little sugar ants common in Washington state. Right next to one of these units plugged into the same outlet as our coffee pot...I think it works, but how do you know unless you see furry or crawly critters?
