Optical illusions can sometimes allow you to dive deep into parts of your personality.

The images can trick your mind into seeing different things, with one such illusion leaving many social media users baffled. The mind-boggling image made its way around Twitter, features a black and white pattern with two animals hiding below.

At first, the image simply looks like a bunch of psychedelic looking lines. However, on closer inspection, you may spot something else. Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, user @tlhicks713 explained that viewers will either be able to identify a cat or a moose.

The animal you spot could actually tell you something about the way in which your brain works.

The social media user explained: "Whatever animal you see isn’t part of the image, it’s just an optical illusion created by your own brain.

"If you zoom in on any of the features the illusion disappears."

Cat or moose optical illusion.
Do you see a cat, a moose or nothing at all?

However, lots of people have been left confused after being unable to spot any animal at all, with other claiming they can see a bit of both.

@Brunergary1 wrote: "I must have a balanced brain. I'm getting nothing."

Cat lover @meow_catface didn't manage to make out anything either, they tweeted: "I don't see either, even with my bias towards cats!"

According to experts, people are either left or right brained, with one side dominant.

Those who are left-brained are said to be more analytical and methodical. On the other hand, those who are right-brained are often more creative and artistic.

Which one do you see?
