Product Research
Overview: The Logitech X-530 is a 5.1-channel powered speaker system for use with a DVD, CD, or music player, computer, or game system. In order to get sound from the rear speakers, your PC must have a sound card with 4 or more channels. A video game adapter is provided for use with video game consoles for surround sound.
Subwoofer: The powered subwoofer features a side-firing 5-1/4" high-excursion woofer in a bass reflex enclosure. The amplifiers for the system are located in the subwoofer.
Satellites: The system includes five matching satellite speaker, each with dual 2" high-excursion drivers with FDD? technology. Each satellite has attached speaker wires with color coded terminals.
FDD?: The Frequency Directed Dual Drivers (FDD?) technology produces a uniform soundfield and eliminates uneven response and hot spots created by conventional dual driver designs.
Wall-mount Brackets: The satellite speakers have an integrated pedestal base, and can be placed on a desk or tabletop. The base can be rotated 180? for use as a wall-mount bracket. A notch on the base allows you to hang the speaker on a single nail or screw. The bracket mounts the speaker less than 3/4" from the wall. Dimensions as a wall-mounted speaker: W=2.565" (speaker), W=2.779" (base), H=8.605" (overall), H=3.873" (base), D=4.244" Note: The center channel speaker cannot be wall- mounted.
Controls/Inputs: The right front speaker is the control center for the system, so it should be placed within easy reach. The power switch and system volume controls are on the right front speaker. A separate subwoofer volume control is located on the back of the subwoofer.
Headphone Jack: A 3.5mm stereo headphone jack is located on the right front speaker. When headphones are plugged in, the speakers are muted. Headphone volume is controlled by the sound card on your computer.
Video Game Console Adapter: If you are connecting a video game console, such as a Playstation, Playstation 2, Xbox, or GameCube, you will need to use the supplied video game adapter.
Dolby Digital: The X-530 speakers support Dolby Digital sound cards on your PC if your 6-channel or greater sound card or DVD software can decode a Dolby Digital soundtrack.
