Dune: Part Two has finally arrived in cinemas and we can't wait to head back to the planet of Arrakis with Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and more. But, is there a post-credits scene for the sci-fi film?

The sequel, which comes almost three years after Dune: Part One, follows Paul Atreides after the attack on his family, as he seeks revenge against the Harkonnens while trying to learn the ways of the Fremen and prevent a dark future for the universe.

If, like us, you can't wait to watch the film and are wondering if there's more to see once the credits roll, then here is everything you need to know about if there's a post-credits scene in Dune: Part Two.

Is there a post-credits scene in Dune: Part Two?

Dune: Part Two follows on from the first film, where House Atreides was attacked by the Harkonnens and Paul's father, Leto, dies as well as many other members of their House.

But, Paul and his mother, Lady Jessica, manage to escape to the desert where they're taken in by the Fremen. In the second film, we see Paul unite with Chani and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the Harkonnens.

Meanwhile, he faces a difficult choice as he tries to prevent a terrible future that only he can foresee, which could change the fate of the universe as we know it.

But, if you're in the cinema and are waiting to see if anything else happens when the credits roll, then here's a heads up that there is no post-credits scene for Dune: Part Two.

Does that mean there won't be a third instalment in the Dune franchise? Definitely not, as director Denis Villeneuve has already said he wants to make another film, which would be based on Frank Herbert’s second novel in the series, Dune Messiah, and that the script is almost done.

As for why he doesn't use post-credits scenes, Dennis told NME, "I don’t like post-credits scenes. There is a very specific final emotion that I was looking for with the final frame [of ‘Dune’] and I don’t want to mess with that.

"So no, I don’t use post-credits scenes. I’ve never done that and I would never."

Dune: Part Two is in cinemas now.
