Mahindra recently revealed the all-new Scorpio-N in India, calling it “the big daddy of SUVs”. This phrase was taken too seriously by an independent digital artist, who created his own “R” version of the model and fitted it with a Hemi V8.

Zephyr Designz creates fictional tuned renderings of all different kinds of models in his YouTube channel. This time, he took it really far with the Scorpio-N, a rugged SUV with a body-on-frame architecture. While Mahindra would never bring a hot variant of the Scorpio-N in production, it is interesting to see what could have been in an alternate universe.

Naturally, the conversion started with a sporty bodykit. At the front the SUV got carbon-fiber add-ons on the bumper intakes, splitter, and grille. Other parts include the body-colored fender extensions, the carbon-fiber mirror caps and the redesigned rear bumper featuring faux vents, a diffuser and quad exhaust pipes. Finishing touches include the heavily tinted windows, and the smoked treatment for the LED headlights and the Volvo-style taillights of the Scorpio-N.

The tuning wouldn’t be complete without a lowered suspension and a set of massive alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero tires. The wheels are actually the less realistic part of this render as they are nearly rubbing against the wheelarches. Behind them we can see large brake discs with red-painted calipers, matching the R emblem on the grille.

The most important part of the fictional upgrade is hidden under the bonnet: a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine taken from the Dodge Challenger Hellcat that produces 707 hp (527 kW / 717 PS). This is a huge increase over the 197 hp (149 kW / 200 PS) of Mahindra’s own 2.0-liter TGDi mStallion four-cylinder petrol engine coming from the factory. It is not clarified in the video but we guess the SUV should retain the all-wheel-drive system helping it put all this power on the road, definitely with a new gearbox that can withstand all that power.
