While Kalki 2898 AD reunites Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan on screen after many years, the major confrontations, as per the plot, would be between Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
A source in the know said, “Prabhas is nervously preparing himself for his big face-offs with Kamal Haasan. It is not easy for any young actor to stand up in front of the mighty Kamal Haasan. Prabhas has been a lifelong fan (of Kamal Haasan).”
In Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas has to do complicated scenes with not just Kamal Haasan but also Amitabh Bachchan. Apparently, Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin will hold workshops where Prabhas will get comfortable in Kamal Haasan’s presence.
Prabhas has never before worked with co-actors of Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan’s stature. So far, he has occupied centre-stage in all his films. With Prabhas around, producers were unable to afford any other major actor. Kalki 2898 AD is the exception.
Much before Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas will soon be see in the high-octane action thriller Salaar. Produced by Homebale Films, the movie, which also stars Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles, is directed by Prashanth Neel, who is known for giving the blockbuster KGF franchise. The film is all set to release in theatres on September 28.
