Historically, two important civilizations have historical relations. The roots of the relations between two of the world's oldest civilizations, which put their backs on the accumulation of nearly five thousand years of history, extend to the depths of this great history. China, the world's second-largest economy, and India, the fifth-largest economy, are two major forces that determine regional dynamics in Asia. In the 21th Century, the relations between two great countries were important both in the population and geographically. About 50% of the world lives in these two countries. China and India continual accretion of economic power will likely position them among the top three economies internationally by the year 2050.

China India Relations: A Complexity of Competitiveness with Cooperation2010 •
Recent Indian relations with China have twin factors of emphasis. On the one hand, border irritants reemerged and on the other, the question of Dalai Lama became a source of added tensions between the two countries. Later, the Tibet question became a main cause of annoyance, as well. These developments became a definite source of departure from the cordial relations that these two countries are striving to have in economic field.
India and China are rising giants of Asia. Both are world's most populous countries and fastest growing major economics. The far-reaching growth in China and India's global diplomatic and economic influence has also enhanced the significance of their bilateral relationship. China and India are two of world's oldest civilizations and have co-existed in peace for millennia. Both countries have effectively tried to reignite cultural, diplomatic and economic ties. China has emerged as the largest trading partner of India and two countries have tried to expand their strategic and military relations. The economic relation between two countries is considered to be one of the most significant bilateral relations in the current global economic scenario and this trend is expected to go on in the years to come.
India and US have been moving forward in improving their strategic relationship. India’s nuclear programs, the disputed borders, the prospective strategic convergence in India-US relations, the Doklam,Tibet issue and India’s announcement to conduct naval exercises in South China Sea will determine Sino-Indian relations in near future. It was only in late 1998, that India could become friendlier with US. Particularly after 9/11, India and US have further strengthened their partnership intending to fight against Global terrorism. All short of terrorism always find some links, in Pakistan, which is openly supported by China. China is also friendly with US, certainly for economic reasons, as it is to prevent the India-US partnership aimed at containing China. Despite that China has not refrained itself from providing military assistance and nuclear technology to Pakistan, because as per them, a weak Pakistan would raise India’s dominance in the region. India needs a better relationship with US, to contain China’s hegemony in South Asia and domination in Indian Ocean Regions. The US, too requires India’s assistance along with Japan and Australia to create a power formation in South Asia, that would assist each others in containing and engaging China. Chinese too require US assistance for suppressing India’s influence in the region.. Kew word.: india china strategic rivalary, china –pakistan ,indias strategic respons, india

Theorizing the Bilateral Ties between India and China2015 •
The relations between India and China, the two largest states of the world, have remained strained over their borders. Their role as active players at the Indian subcontinental, Asian and global level has also increased enormously in the twenty first century. In recent years both the states have reached newer heights in the domains of science, technology, space, economy, trade and defense. The current paper attempts at drawing certain points of commonalities and divergences between the foreign policy perspectives of the two. There have been deliberate attempts on behalf of the two states in the past to follow short term and long-term policies to fizzle out the pressure of the unresolved issues, which in turn take the shape of different theories defining various dimensions of their relations.

India-China Competitive Coexistence: A New Era of Strategic Partnership2020 •
India and China are civilisational states with historical boundary disputes, whose roots lie in the colonial past. In modern times, both modern nation-states have taken a different politico-economic model in the global comity of nations. Both Asian powerhouses are separated by mighty Himalayan ranges geographically, but modern communication and transport technology have filled these geographical gaps. As a result, there is increasing Indian engagement in SouthEast Asia & East Asia; whereas Chinese engagement in South Asia and Indian Ocean region has brought them together to shape the Asian equilibrium in the multipolar world order. Over the years, both countries have transformed their relationship towards a cooperative framework in economic and military affairs for improving mutual trust and mutual understanding in their bilateral diplomatic relations. Furthermore, many developmental issues of common concern and global governance are acting as a catalyst to work towards their mutual benefit in regional and multilateral forums. Indeed, the India-China strategic partnership seems to be moving towards comprehensive partnership in the field of politics, economy, military, cultural and people to people contact. It is in these backdrops, one might wonder about the future trajectories of India-China bilateral relations in shaping the Asian equilibrium as well as the crucial role of their national interest in it.
