Sony TV and Swastik Productions’ Shrimad Ramayan has managed to make its place in the hearts of viewers and enjoys a loyal audience of all ages. The show has now seen the entry of Shri Ram’s beloved devotee, Hanuman.
In the current phase of the show, Bharat, Shatrughna, and their three mothers travel to the Chitrakoot forest to bring back Ram, Sita and Lakshman. They learn about King Dashrath’s death, and all four brothers immersed his ashes.
Both Ram and Bharat put forth their points about whether Ram should return and ascend Ayodhya’s throne. Ram stands firmly on fulfilling his father’s promise and cites various examples and reasons as to why he should continue his exile. King Jhanak, who observed and judged this process, found both Ram and Bharat’s sides valid. Bharat eventually accepted Ram’s duty and decided that he will not take up the throne and instead took Ram’s footwear back with him to place there.
While this made viewers emotional, the entry of Hanuman in the latest episode gives hope and puts a smile on everyone’s face. Hanuman is played by Nirbhay Wadhwa on the show and truly excels in his role!
Viewers now await the moment when Shri Ram and his devotee cross paths.
