Nirbhay Wadhwa all set to play Lord Hanuman in Ramayan

Once again, a new take on Indian epic Ramayan will take over the Indian television. Upcoming show Shrimad Ramayan is all set to renew telling of this great Indian epic. And actor Nirbhay Wadhwa will portray the character of Lord Hanuman in the show.

Surprisingly, Nirbhay has portrayed the iconic character on several shows like Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman, Karmaphal Daata Shani, Vighnaharta Ganesh.On essaying the role once again, he shares, “It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Lord Hanuman ji has been showering his blessings on me that I keep getting to play such an iconic role on TV shows one after the other. Once again I’m all set to bring alive this character on the small screen.” Nirbhay has already shot for the promo as well a few episodes. So what’s challenging while doing such mytho shows for him? He says, 'We’ve grown up hearing stories of the Ramayan or different aspects of it, so the challenge is to bring this known story to life. Since it’s a non-fictional show, one cannot take the risk, but yes after playing Hanuman in several shows, I keep improvising my dialogues as per the situation.”
Nirbhay believes that playing this character has added a new depth of emotion to his personality. “Every role we play on screen leaves it’s imprints on our personality. But playing Hanumanji for so many shows has made me a better person. Now I’m more calm and composed. There was a time when I used to lose my temper easily, but now I think more rationally and logically rather losing my cool.”
