Dookudu special shows list: Fans celebrate Mahesh Babu, Samantha Akkineni starrer
It has been a decade since director Srinu Vaitla’s Mahesh Babu and Samantha Akkineni starrer Dookudu released.
The film hit screens on September 23, 2011 and was a box office and critical hit for getting the perfect balance of commercial elements right. Fans excited about the film turning a decade old have been trending #DecadeForIHDookudu on social media since Wednesday. What’s more, there’s a special treat in store for those who want to catch the film on the big-screen and relive old memories.

Dookudu tells the story of the son of an ex-MLA who recreates everything as expected by his father in order to save him from shock after he wakes up from a coma. The film also saw Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood and Brahmanandam in key roles. With music by Thaman S, cinematography by Prasad Murella and KV Guhan, the film was shot in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Gujarat, Istanbul, Dubai and Switzerland. The film went on to win seven Nandi awards, six Filmfare awards and was remade in Bengali and Kannada.
