Katrina Kaif’s dynamic looks: From 'Boom' to 'Phantom'

Katrina Kaif, the Barbie doll of Bollywood, is one of the finest actresses Bollywood has; her millions of fans are a proof of this. From Boom to Phantom, her acting skills have only gotten better. She has become one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood. The diva totally defines the elegance. Kat’s electrifying dance moves doesn’t need any introduction. Whenever she experiments with her looks she totally pulls it off. Be it the simple girly look in Jab Tak Hai Jaan or the rockstar avtaar in Mere Bother Ki Dulhan, the dancing diva in ‘Kamli’ (Dhoom3) or a simple saree look in the political film Rajneeti, she looks perfect in every role.

Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya (2005): Katrina played a mentally disturbed patient Sonia in this film. She managed to get noticed for her tempting charm in this Salman Khan-Sushmita Sen starrer. Short dresses and her casual look in film caught the audience’s attraction. Simply carrying a crop top with a bell bottom toned jeans, gives her a cool look which she sported in the song 'Just chill'. Even though she was not the lead, she was appreciated for her work. Katrina sure knows to look cool and glamorous at the same time.

Namastey London (2007): Katrina presented herself elegantly right from the first frame of the film, when she walked down in a long white wedding gown. British accent with western attire made her look pretty, and on the other hand Tuti-futi punjabi with short kurti and patiala gave her a proper punjabi look of Jasmeet. Katrina has done proper justice to both the characters Jazz and Jasmeet played by her in the film (different name of a same character). Denim skirts and knee-high boots completed her London-bred Punjabi girl look in the film. Her rough curls completed her sweet and cool look.

Race (2008): Katrina was already termed as the next big thing of B-Town with the film Race, who played Saif Ali Khan’s secretary in this blockbuster film, the actress impressed everyone with her highly elite style of corporate dressing . Katrina in her blue color short dress added a new flavor in the ‘Zara zara touch me’ song. Carrying a black Afghani with a cross silver top she hooked the audience in ‘Sajna Anari Balma’ another track from the film.

Singh Is Kinng (2008): Katrina Kaif got her next hit yet again with co-star Akshay Kumar. The actress showed the masses that she is impressively beautiful; the pink polka short skirt with cute pink crop top gave her a perennial cuteness. The actress changed her look and donned a black and red net saree for 'Teri ore' and looked like a million bucks in each frame. She looked all the more sensuous because of her tall frame. The free fall of the saree accentuated her assets and she looked so elegant that the audiences were hooked.

Yuvvraaj (2008): The elegant actress has always experimented with her looks; this time around it was a complete change from all casuals and ethnic attires. In Yuvraaj Katrina flaunts a regal look complete with classy gowns and empire waistlines created by fashion designers Nainika and Gauri. The Victorian hairstyle made the actress stand out in the film. She was paired with Salman Khan in the film. The pair was much in news for their alleged closeness and the film gave enough fodder to keep the gossip mills running.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009): Katrina was the perfect girl-next-door in this film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The actress played Jenny and she looked like a doll of innocence and is seen flaunting floral as well as checkered skirts with funky t-shirts that impressed the audience with her simple yet elegant dressing style in the hues of pinks, yellow and blues. The actress brought back the trend of printed hair bands and clips too. No one had ever expected that the film Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani will start a new story and B-town will have a new pair. The adorable duo made headlines for their amazing chemistry.

Raajneeti (2010): Keeping all her happy go lucky images aside, Katrina transformed effortlessly into the simpleton political leader look. After being labelled as the barbie doll of B-Town, Katrina amazed everyone with her simplistic image in the political film Rajneeti and proved that she could outperform her earlier roles. Katrina in plain dual coloured handloom saris and ethnic kurtis without make up looked beautiful.

Tees Maar Khan (2010): The only thing audience remembers about this film is Katrina’s ‘Sheila ki jawani’. Flaunting a sexy pink choli with knee-length black dhoti pants, white shirts with blank shorts, made her look sexy. She also pulled off lehengas in the film but with the same panache. The film bombed at the box office, but ‘Sheila ki jawani’ surely made way to everyone’s hearts.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011): Katrina playing the role of a potential bride Dimple, the actress experimented with her clothing once again. The film saw Kat in two different avatars, one with a rock star look in short flicks with torn jeans ,denim shorts and cool loose funky t-shirts teamed up with colorful accessories and other in ethnic casuals, like light shaded kurtis, red anarkali suit in ‘isq risk’ song makes her look elegant.
