For Karwal Chauth celebrations on Sunday,
Sonali Bendre decked up in a special ensemble from her wardrobe. The
actress decided to reuse her wedding dress for the festive day and looked gorgeous in the orange and lavender
lehenga.
“I have always believed that traditions are what you make of them... to me they are a bridge between the past, present and future. I respect where they came from but never hesitated to give it my own meaning.
Karwa Chauth is one such festival… to me, it has always been a celebration of family and friends that are family. A day spent in rituals with the people you love. The fact that I get pampered by my husband is a bonus . It’s a celebration of togetherness and companionship, cementing the love we share with our husbands & the bond between our family and friends,” Sonali Bendre had shared on Instagram.
A staunch promoter of reusing fashion, Sonali Bendre used a two-decade old jacket for one of her appearance on a TV show in August. Sonali had shared, “Some things age better… I’m talking about my jacket here 😜 I wore this beautiful jacket from @rohitbalofficial at least 2 decades ago and I’m so glad I could wear it again! #Vintage #reuse #reuserevolution #upcycledclothing #oldisgold.”
