2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic unveiled in India: Here's what's new over old Scorpio

Front-end design

Changes on the front include the addition of Mahindra's latest 'twin-peaks' SUV logo, a new front grille with six vertical slates, a restyled front bumper, new LED DRLs placed on top of the fog lamp housings, a new skid plate. TOI-AUTO

New tail lights

At the rear, the Scorpio Classic gets the tower LED tail lamps, similar to what was seen on the previous-gen versions of the SUV. TOI-AUTO

Alloy wheels

The Scorpio Classic comes equipped with new diamond cut alloy wheels. TOI-AUTO

Engine specs

Powering the Mahindra Scorpio Classic is a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 132 PS power and 300 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission as standard. TOI-AUTO

Interior

The Scorpio Classic gets a new beige and black theme on the inside with faux wood dashboard inserts and a leatherette steering wheel. TOI-AUTO

New infotainment system

The SUV gets a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that takes the centre stage. TOI-AUTO

Expected price?

Mahindra is yet to reveal the pricing for the Scorpio Classic. We expect it to be priced from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) to undercut the Scorpio-N. TOI-AUTO
