I finally made it to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a beautiful Hindu temple in Robbinsville, New Jersey. The first time I came, they were still closed due to COVID, and I was disappointed that they were not letting visitors in. This time, I called before driving over an hour and asked if visitors were allowed back. They were back open and ready for the public.

I dream of visiting Cambodia one day and seeing the beautiful architecture and history, but until I can visit, I will stay local. 

The temple is a spiritual oasis for Hindus and non-Hindus alike. the temple was built in 2014, the largest Hindu temple in the United States. The temple stands at an impressive 42,000 square feet and is built with 6,000 tons of Italian Carrara marble and Turkish Limestone.

Things to Know Before Your Visit

I advise that you visit BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and READ THEIR POLICY BEFORE YOUR VISIT.

There is a strict dress code that should be respected during your visit. Tops must cover the shoulders, back, chest, navel, and upper arms. Legwear must be at least below knee length. Visitors not having an appropriate dress code would be requested to wear wraps provided at the Mandir. Footwear will need to be removed before entering any of the Mandir buildings. Shoe racks are provided within the complex.
