Everything Happens For A Good Reason- My Life And Curied Steemit Journey

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Do you believe in Fate and Karma?
Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? I do.

I believe that if we lost something small or bigger, a much better one will come along.

Sometimes, It's hard to accept and understand why such thing has to happen but we learn to accept and move on overtime and at the end, we realize that it was for something much better.

MY LIFE JOURNEY

I Lost An Opportunity
I feel like I was left behind when I was not on the included list of the On-the Job Training (OJT) for the back office staff in one of the popular mall in my hometown where me and my first batch mates applied for.

Then after a few weeks, I heard the Social Security System (PH government company) was looking for more OJT staff. I was one of the chosen and was assigned under the Commission on Audit (COA) office which offer better benefits, less paper works and lesser working hour required compared to the other one.

A Lost Material Thing With Sentimental Value
I lost a phone that I bought when I was a working student during my first year college.

A month after, my pharmacist dorm mate hand me a raffle ticket booklet with 25 pages that needs my name, address and signature. I signed all the pages just to kill the time. Not expecting anything and gave it back to her.

After a few weeks, I received a mail from Uniliver.
I had no idea what is it for. I was shocked I won 3,000 pcs. of new mobile phone! (Just kidding!). I won a brand new phone with 3,000 php (57 usd) worth of credits.
I gave some of the phone credits to my dorm mate as a thank you and I use the rest as a start of my first small loading (top-up) business.**

I Was Heartbroken & Lost A Love one
I was two-timed and cheated. I cried so hard. I moved on and taught myself not to love again.

After a few weeks trying to move on, my heart was broken AGAIN when my beloved grandmother passed away. I was devasted.

Time heals the pain. In an unexpected and perfect time,
someone came along. I was a graduating college girl and he was a solo traveller back then. We've met through my cousin. He knock on my heart and teach me to love again (cheezy!). We became lovers. We've been to a long distance relationship, trials and hardship which made our relationship more stronger and after 4 years, that solo traveller guy is now my other half.

Life is indeed ironic and I learned to use those hard times as an inspiration to move forward.

MY STEEMIT JOURNEY
Moving on to the present. To those who don't know yet, my old Steemit account was hacked a month ago. It was devastating. After a week, I made a new one as I already lost hope of getting the old one back. I called it a "blessing in disguise".

In twenty four days using with my new steemit account @joyrobinson, some of my post was featured in steemit community groups and challenges that I joined.

  1. My re-intoduceyourself post was featured in #steemitph.davao Daily Featured Post on my 2nd day which I did not expect simply because I thought it was just an introduceyourself post. Another one was featured one a week after.

  2. Another week after, my first solo travel post was rewarded by @travelfeed's upvote and was also in the top 3 featured post of @steemitworldmap travel digest.

  3. I woke up Curie-d!
Four days after my last featured post, I create a new one. It's about my Solo Travel Photography Tips and Tricks Ideas.

My post was only worth $0.99 before I went to bed. When I woke up the next day, I had coffee, checkout my work, my phone and social media group messages and when I opened my Steemit, I was shocked my post is now worth $37.40 without using voting bots yet.

At first, I thought steem/sbd price jump high to the moon overnight! (LOL). My reputation score from 44 jump to 47 which was the same reputation score of my old account when it was hacked! Coincidence. Weird.

Thank you to everyone who supported!

Giving The Love Back To The Community
Steemit is a community of love, knowledge, support and inspiration expressed in every way through the post we see everyday so to return the love back to the community, I'm going to start my own #newbieresteemday initiative (more complete details on the next post).

When I finally recovered my old account after 20 days I decided to powerdown all my SBD/SP, transfer to my new one for future delegation purpose when it's completely done.

Atleast through these way I can help my co minnows to grow in this promising platform.

We don't need to be a whale to help others.

Spot on! Finding that silver lining, gearing yourself up for better, more positive things to come, regardless of previous discouraging events. This is often a deciding factor as to whether or not you get back up or stay down in the dumps.

Glad things are working out well :)

Congrats sis

Wonderful story , I'm happy that you are okay now.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment @gremayo
your artworks make me want to practice more of my painting skills.

Followed you also.

Totally agree with your quote. Indeed everything in life, happens for a reason and a purpose. Sometimes, we just don't see it or rather refused to see it until one fine day, when we looked back and realised that everything happened the way it did for a purpose, a reason.

I am glad things eventually turned out for the best for you. Keep your chin up. Keep smiling. Keep walking.

You will eventually get there. All the best!

That is a great story Joy and indeed everything happens for a reason. A number of times we question why but eventually it turns out how it should be.

Yes, they are all blessing in disguise 😇
Thanks for dropping by my blog!

Wow... what a journey, and what inspiration! Sometimes it is hard to believe the age-old saying that when One door closes another opens ~ but it is definitely true in your case... Wish you all the best in the next phase of your journey and also have a great week ahead! :)
