On reaching this feat, Mohammad Al Gergawi, the museum's head, mentioned the promise to host one million visitors in its first year.

Several other milestones have been accomplished by the museum since its opening. The seven-story, 77-meter-high structure has received 10 international awards. Before it even opened, National Geographic named it one of the 14 most beautiful museums in the world.

Al Gergawi said the Museum of the Future has led to a clear shift in the conventional view of museums, and that imagining the future and implementing its changes and improvements is a critical pillar to the success of governments and societies. The Museum of the Future is now recognized as a regional and global hub for futurists, serving as a comprehensive testbed for testing and developing emerging innovations and ideas.

He also stated that the Museum of the Future houses the world's best experts, scientists, great minds, and futurist architects, as well as the most famous international institutions foreseeing the future.

It also held 180 global activations and events in the fields of culture, entrepreneurship, space exploration, technology, and tourism.

The Museum of the Future hosted the Dubai Future Forum in 2022 and will hold the event again this year on November 27 and 28.

Speaking about the design of the landmark, the museum's unique facade, designed by Killa Design, is made up of 1,024 stainless steel plates manufactured entirely by robots. Arabic calligraphy created by Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej adorns the surface.
