Mohabbatein is one of the good movies in Shah Rukh Khan‘s career. This is the second movie in Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra‘s combination after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Aishwarya Rai paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in this movie. Amitabh Bachchan played the character which opposes Shah Rukh Khan and his love.
Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) is a music teacher whose love ended with his lover’s death. He joins in Gurukul as a music teacher. Gurukul is a strict educational institution and never allows funny things. Narayan (Amitabh Bachchan) owner of the Gurukul always believes in discipline and hates love.
Raj encourages Gurukul students to enjoy and to love. He reveals that he was an old student in that institution, his lover Megha (Aishwarya Rai) was the daughter of Narayan and because of her father’s strict rules she failed to express her love and committed suicide. At the end Raj makes Narayan realise the value of love.
Uday Chopra made his debut into Bollywood with this movie. Preity Jinghani, Kim Sharma and Jimmy Shergill were the other important actors in this movie.
