Truly blessed that I got to witness Aishwarya Rai’s beauty in this film. Truly cursed to have seen Aditya Roy Kapoor’s afro.
That scene where they make sex noises at each other for no reason was the pinnacle of Bhansali's filmography
A well crafted indian film about the sad and tragic circumstances that befell a master magician! While it is dark for the most part there were glimpses of the glory days of the magicians astounding magic acts which were amazing and quite stunning!
Yes there is sentimentality involved, and I admit I may have imbibed in some blubbering on atleast one occasion! It does tug on the ole heart strings if given the chance! It is an emotional journey to be sure so if you have a strong aversion to melodrama than this is definitely not for you!

"Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love deeply. Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile"
In Bhansali I trust.
Got some dumb silly shit that really took me out of the moment but also some really evocative sequences that really got to me and made me tear up so fine SLB you win this round!!!
omar: your first magic trick was the raining coins?
ethan: no... the smile on my mother's face...
idk why i kept ignoring this movie for such a long time
hritik roshan's best performance till date 🪄
aishwarya literally looks like a goddess in this 🛐
idk what was wrong with aditya's hair though 🥲
no one can beat slb when it comes to music and cinematography, he just nails it everytime
and ofc i love PAIN 🥲😭
Life bohot choti hai dosto. So go on, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.
Kind of a mixbag for me. The execution felt rushed, a bit whimsical at times which is beneficial for most movies but did not fit the tone with this movie which is representing such a complex subject matter. But there was also heart behind this movie which I admired. This movie has the best use of the song by Louis Armstrong "What a wonderful world" I've ever seen.
If the writing was a bit subtle and the execution a little less sloopy, this could have been one of the most heartfelt films of Bollywood. Somewhat of a wasted potential.
