IPL Scam & Spot Fixing – Analysis on Punishment and solutions

Rigorous punishment acts should come into existence. Management should observe the actions of each and every player. They should feel guilt for destroying the spirit of game and its reputation among the fans. They should have a better control over the players and their activities.

In future, management should give their voice to recover from that disastrous event. They should also restrict this from happening again.

The Indian premier league should make a big effort to find and restrict the fixing issues in the tournament. They should modify their rules and become transparent about their policies. Every player of the tournament, either experienced or new player should be aware of the fact that they are being watched by millions of people. Spot fixers, bookies and corrupted officials must be kept under investigation.

The roles and responsibilities of coaches, players and team owners must be defined clearly. In order to get back the reputation, BCCI must take the responsibility and provide very strict norms over fixing and betting. They should control each and every activity of the players. The media and police can impose an immediate threat to the fixing, if they have proper coordination among them. If the Management does not have a clean control over the fixing and betting issues in IPL, the reputation of the game will be spoiled forever. Government should also act to the situation before it is too late.

In recent times, People lost their interest in watching cricket. Playing a very long tournament resulted in poor performance of players in international matches. Players become very tired and lose their form by playing long tournaments. Nowadays, people don’t give much attention to any cricket tournaments other than the world cup.

Because of too much expectation and overwhelming response for cricket, other sports like archery, football, badminton, tennis and motorsports doesn’t get the reputation they deserve among the people.

IPL provided extreme entertainment and professional feel for the game. One cannot refuse the fact that IPL made every one to watch cricket. If IPL can’t withstand the high expectations of the people, they will not exist. Failure of ICL organized by Kapil Dev is a good example.

Management must keep in mind that people will prefer spending their time and money for a clean and vague game, but they will not support a game with fixing and corruption. There will be bigger confusions if people accept corruption in the game.

Now I have a strong feeling that everyone will have a clear mind on the controversies over the IPL and whom they should support.
