Shweta Bachchan reveals the ‘secret to a long marriage’ on Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan’s ‘golden’ marriage anniversary

Sharing the throwback picture, Shweta wrote, “Happy 50th parents ~ now you’re “Golden” once on being asked what the secret to a long marriage is, my mother answered – love, and I think my fathers was – the wife is always right. That’s the long & short of it !!.”

Shweta’s friends and social media followers took to her post’s comments section and poured in their love for Amitabh and Jaya and wished them well. Her daughter Navya Naveli reacted to her post by pasting “😢❤️” emoticons in her comment, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar wrote, “How beautiful are they????” Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives fame Maheep Kapoor wrote, “Happy 50th to your parents ❤️❤️❤️” Bhavana and Chunky Panday wrote, “Happy 50th to your parents !!! Lots of love ♥️♥️,” and “Happy Happy Golden Anniversary ❤️❤️,” respectively.

Shweta’s daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda also shared a beautiful picture of Jaya and Amitabh from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to wish them on their special day.

Amitabh and Jaya first met when they shot for Hritshikesh Mukerjee’s Guddi in 1971, they then appeared in several films together and fell in love before getting married. They two starred in Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Chupke Chupke, Sholay and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
