Karan Singh Grover says wife Bipasha Basu doesn’t want to work with him, recalls leaving for Fighter 5 days after she gave birth to daughter Devi

Karan was holding himself back because Bipasha had a cesarean. But the No Entry actor was prepared for everything. He shared, “She had a cesarean, and it is very difficult to make sure that those stitches are in place, the way she has to move… we rehearsed everything. She is somebody who is prepared for everything, and knows everything about everything because she does the research and reads a lot.”

However, Karan and Bipasha were helped by the latter’s sister. “Knowing that she will have to get up in a certain way, she has to roll on the bed and get up on the side, knowing all that, and to leave her and the baby, who was born with a slight… It was difficult. My sister-in-law came and stayed with them. Now, when she comes to meet Devi, we call her ‘Pehle papa’,” shared Karan.

Karan and Bipasha have worked together on the 2015 film Alone, which is where their love story began. The two tied the knot in 2016, and were blessed with their first child in 2022. But after Alone, the couple never shared the screen again, and Karan said there is no possibility of it happening in the near future as well.

“She doesn’t want to work with me. She says, ‘I can’t handle you at work also.’ I don’t blame her, I am a lot to handle. I am very emotional and very moody and very everything that you don’t want me to be. She is like, ‘At work, I want to be at peace and concentrate on myself. If you’ll be there, I will keep focusing on you, I don’t want that. I need to do my own thing.’ She is not going to change her mind, I am still a pain,” shared Karan.

Bipasha Basu has been away from the silver screen since 2015, when she did Alone with Karan. Besides a cameo appearance in the 2018 film Welcome to New York, she he did a web series titled Dangerous in 2020.
