Supreme Court stays Centre's notification allowing Jallikatu

New Delhi, Jan12 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the Central Government's notification, which permitted the controversial sport 'Jallikattu' in Tamil Nadu. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader MK Stalin after the order, said that ruling by the apex court on Jallikattu has to be suitably responded by the Central Government and only it can take a decision on it. Jallikattu is a bull taming sport played in Tamil Nadu as a part of Pongal celebrations on Mattu Pongal day.
