Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Dhaka | Dec 22, 2015:: While the Bangladesh ruling Party Awami League advocates for its stand for so called ‘Secularism”, its frontal organisation of Islamic clerics, “Olama League” ultimately demands Ban on Hindu organisations in Islamic Bangladesh.
On Monday, the General Secretary of Olama league, Maulana Abul Sheikh Hassan Shariatpuri sent a signed statement for the organistion stating “some organisations like Hindu-Buddhist-Christian-Unity-Council, Indigenous-Tribal-Forum etc. are spreading hatred against the state religion Islam in Bangladesh. Suranjit Sengupta (a port folio less minster in Awami League Govt in BD and a member of Advisory committee of AL) and CR Dutta (sector commander of the Mukti Bahini in BD Leberation war and Intl President of BHBCUC) are making this Hindu unrest in Bangladesh and they must be expelled from all forums for their communal activities”.
The statement was also signed by Olama League President, Akther Hossian Bukhari (Peer of Tangail), Vice President Maulana Abdus Sattar and Jt. Secy Habibulla Rupgangi with the Gen Secy A S H Shariatpuri.
This utter anti Hindu statement and the Islamic ploy to cease the Hindu Rights for Organisations created a wide repercussion worldwide.

Sitangshu Guha, a BD root US citizen, a columnist and HR activist conveys to HENB that such a statement from Olama League is quite embarrassing and barely against the secular foundation of original BD Constitution. Hindu Rights for Organisation cannot be snatched away under any communal threat by Olama League or any other fundamental Islamic wing.
Prof Mohit Ray, the key person of CAAMB (Campaign Against Atrocities on Minorities in Bangladesh) communicates to HENB that it is unfortunate that a section of Awami League advocates such communal view to establish Islam in Bangladesh by ceasing Hindu rights there. It is seen earlier that AL made ties with Jammat like Orgs for election benefit. This should be taken note importantly so that such fundamental powers within AL cannot overpower the secular thread in Awami League and BD Prime Minister Sheikh Hassina.

What on earth is going on in Bangladesh against Hindus? Is the Govt. blind to the attrocities perpetrated against Hindus? What is then GOI can do in an internal matter of the country? The situation is very nauseating and very repulsive to speak in the least. What can we, the citizens of India do in the matter? Any suggestions surely would be welcome. Dr.R.V.Reddy

I think the best course of action, is to encourage Bangladeshi Hindus and other non-Muslims to migrate to Bharat – and to encourage (and if necessary, compel) Sunnis to go the other way. Better to be part of the non-Muslim majority in India than to be a persecuted minority in a Muslim country.
In my mind, Bangladesh is the next Pakistan, just as Pakistan’s future is Islamic State. We should have no illusions about what that entails in the not-too-distant future.
For now, on an individual level:
1) We can boycott Bangladesh and Bangladeshi products.
2) Where the opportunity arises, we can offer refuge or assistance to the non-Muslims fleeing that country.
3) We can support and vote BJP – because every other major political party in India panders shamelessly to the Sunnis to an even greater extent.
4) Those within the BJP or with connections to it, can steer it towards an anti-jihad agenda.
Just a few thoughts.

That country who do not respect hindus can never develop. He can never feel happy. He will always be in trouble. I think 1971 was blunder. We indians should have ruled bangladesh. That might be good
