About Money Tree
The money tree is native to the tropics and thrives near wetlands and swamps. They have extensive edible and medicinal properties and are used in Central America to treat kidney disease, urinary problems, and skin conditions like rashes and sores. 🤒 The amount of oil in money tree seeds is almost double the amount found in soybeans, one of the most widely grown sources of oil. And last but definitely most tasty: the edible seeds of this plant taste like peanuts when raw, and like chestnuts when roasted! 🥜

Finding light for Money Tree in your home
Money Tree may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Money Tree in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Money Tree
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Money Tree after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Losing battle? #MoneyTree This Money Tree was 2 feet tall when we received it eleven years ago. Now it’s well over 5 feet. Try as I might, it never thrives anymore. New pot, new soil, adjusting the light - it’s always droopy and leggy. But still putting out new growth! Other than emotional attachment, is there a reason to keep trying with this tree? Should I propagate a new tree from the healthy shoots and “reincarnate” it?

Hi Fam, Good Morning ! What’s happening to my moneytree? Can anyone take a look and help me please ? This plant grew pretty fast , I changed the pot recently , however I see yellowing leaves and they drop dead in few days . Overwater could be possibly, I’m careful but I did touch the soil remains moist so assuming it could be .

I have 2 money trees. One is 12 inches and 1 is 3- feet. My 12 inch has a mushy tree trucks from what I read is over watering. How do I dry them out without drying out the whole tree and killing it. #MoneyTree

Guys. I'm supposed to be working but here I am looking at your plants. This has officially become the most distracting app I have. Thanks? 🤦♀️ Well, here's the next addition to my online oasis here. I decided to name this one Pumpo. *1ft. from south facing window with filtered light, speckled with blue glass. (blue glass not necessary. Filtered or indirect light is.) *well draining homemade succulent mix. *water weekly. Let top soil dry 1 inch. *humidifier or misting. *Works well with other plants. With Snake plant or the gorgeous ZZ plant may invite good luck and prosperity into your home. *non toxic for humans and pets. Edible leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds! *Money Tree is called "Pumpo" in Guatemala. The more you know!😉 #moneytree #Pachiraaquatica

My money tree started off with 3 trees, now I’m down to one. The first two dried out and I was able to pull them right out. No roots were attached. How can I keep the last one alive? Should I repot it? #MoneyTree

What other plant parents say
I started with the typical 5 braided trunks and this is the only one that survived, and keeps surviving! This thing is a freaking pest MAGNET. Spider mites a few weeks ago, now scale and sooty mold 🙄 Every time I trim one of the leaves new growth pops up immediately though, so at least she’s happy 🤷🏽♀️
