Jim Carrey Is Open to Making Another ACE VENTURA Movie... If Christopher Nolan Directed It

Jim Carrey recently said that he is seriously looking at retiring from acting because in his words, “I have enough. I've done enough. I am enough." But, there is one character from his past that he would consider revisiting under one big condition.

Carry would be open to making another Ace Venture movie, but only if Christopher Nolan directed it. He shared:

"I think after the fact when there's been a lot of years, unless some genius person, director, auteur comes to you with a completely new take on what's going on, you know. If Chris Nolan came to me and said, 'I want to make Ace Ventura real and I want to do something, you know, something more interesting...' then I might listen. But for the most part, you know, after a certain time there's not one cell in your body that is that person anymore so you end up just imitating what you did in the old days and the original inspiration isn't there."

We recently ran a report in which Nolan and Carrey were collaborating together on a Howard Hughes biopic, but that project was dropped after Martin Scorsese’s The Aviator was released. So, it makes sense that Carrey would want to work with Nolan. Hell, even if it wasn’t an Ace Ventura movie, it would be cool to see these talents actually get to work together one day.

However, I also can’t help but imagine what an Ace Venture movie directed by Nolan would look like! I actually kinda want to see that. What kind of crazy mind-bending things would Nolan do with a movie like that!? Right now I’m just envisioning the Ace Ventura character running around in movies like Tenet, Inception, and Memento.

I don’t think that Nolan will ever make an Ace Ventura movie, but I would love to see him work with Carrey at some point. What do you think about all this?
