Black Urad Dal – Half Cup
Rajma – ¼ Cup
Chana Dal – 1 tsp.
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp.
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
Garam masala – 1 tsp.
Red Chili powder – ½ tsp.
Water – 250 – 300 ml
Ingredients for Tomato Puree
Medium Tomato – 3 roughly chopped
Garlic clove – 3
Ginger - 1 inch
Grind all the above ingredients for tomato puree.Wash and clean both the dal, rajma and soak in water for minimum 5-6hours or overnight preferably.
Connect the power cord to ROBOCOOK and switch ‘ON’ button. Press the ‘Dal’ pre-set menu button in the ROBOCOOK and select Quick. PIC TECHNOLOGY pre-sets temperature/pressure/timer for pre-cooking
After Pre-Cooking is done the cooking countdown will appear and starts down from 20 mins. Once the countdown comes down and cooking is completed it stops with 3 Beep sound and automatically switches to KEEP WARM mode. Press ‘Cancel’ if not required.
Wait for 10 mins to get Natural Pressure Release (OR) it can be released manually by pulling ‘UP’ the pressure release button. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods
Now TWIST and Open the cooker. Transfer the dal to another bowl.
Press SAUTE quick mode. Add butter, salt, turmeric powder, jeera powder red chilli powder and saute well. Next add tomato puree and sauté for 3-4 mins.
Then add boiled dal and add water as per required consistency (approx. 300 ml) and close the lid. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
After 10 min, Switch to Keep warm or Off mode. Ensure the pressure is released completely on both the methods. Open the cooker & give a quick stir.
Serve lentil Dal Makhani hot with rotis
