Hi there,
A simple question regarding a Piezo element:
I can see in the example project for 'sample-piezo' that a voltage is applied at 1.15V, to bring the baseline input signal up, thereby enabling the detection of negative values from the Piezo.
However, I won't require the detection of negative values, so I assume I can do without the input voltage, and simply connect the Piezo to GND and analog in.
However, I've looked at a couple of Arduino examples for this, and they always seem to put a 1M resistor in parallel with the Piezo:
My question is, is a parallel resistor also necessary when connecting the Piezo element to the Bela, should it be that same value (1M), and if so, why?
Many thanks!
