The other side of E. V. Ramasamy Naicker — Part 1 (Hatred for Tamil)

Was E. V. Ramasamy Naicker a Tamil?
The lickspittles of E. V. Ramasamy Naicker were propagating lies and creating an illusion that he was a Tamil, that he toiled for the sake of the Tamil language, and that he lived for the sake of Tamil people. They are doing it even today. They claim he is the “leader of the Tamils” but do you know how he introduced himself?
“Kannappar is a Telugu, I am a Kannadiga, Comrade Annadurai, is a Tamil” (Periyar E.V.R. Thoughts — Volume I)
And,
“I belong to the Karnataka Balija caste.” (Kudiarasu 22-08-1926)
He always introduced himself this way.
The man who proudly proclaimed “I am a Kannadiga” is called a Tamilian and a “leader of the Tamils” by his followers.
The unsavory abuse of Tamil poets by the man who proclaimed that he is a Kannadiga is not insignificant.
Abuse of Tamil Poets
In the book ‘Tamil and Tamils’’ Ramasamy Naicker says:
“Today, in the Tamil world, the names of two or three Tamil poets are mentioned. They are 1. Tholkappian, 2. Thiruvalluvan, 3. Kamban.
Of these,
1. Tholkappian was an Aryan stooge. He was a great traitor who made Arya Dharma into Tamil grammar.
2. Thiruvalluvan has supported Aryan propaganda as suited for his time. He has not cared for rationality, and in the name of imparting justice has uttered something with his religious fervor.
3. Kamban is a great Tamil traitor who, like many of today’s politicians and patriots, used his Tamil knowledge in support of the enemy of the Tamils, the Brahmins, to humiliate Tamils, and lived by wages collected from them (Brahmins). Absolute liar. Absolute scammer. He is a traitor who thought of himself to be a Brahmin and was saying things which even Brahmins were afraid to say, and had made the Tamils permanent subordinates. All three have accepted caste and caste based occupation.”
This is the view of the important Tamil poets Naicker had. Tholkappiyar and Kamban were traitors it seems !
If these people who created Tamil literature are Tamil traitors, then Ramasamy Naicker who abused Tamil is also a traitor! Do you know the ways in which Naicker abused Tamil?
Tamil, a Barbaric Language
In the book “Tamil and Tamils”, Naicker says:
“I have been saying that Tamil is a barbaric language for about 40 years.
Among Tamil-educated, Tamil-speaking scholars, almost 99 out of 100 are without any knowledge of English. Since they have been Tamil scholars for a long time, they have distanced themselves from rationalism and have become bumpkins without any world knowledge.”
(That is, they may have become irrational because they studied Tamil. They have become ignorant, bereft of world knowledge. — Author)
“What is the loss to you (Tamils) of excluding Tamil? What is wrong with you accepting another language?
Other than the reason that the scholars (those who study Tamil and survive because of Tamil) have no other means of livelihood, why is Tamil language required for the well-being of Tamils?
One needs respect irrespective of who they are born to. All you need to do now is think about whether you have it or not. More importantly, is it there in the Tamil language and in Tamil society? Did Tamil language help you get any respect is the first and foremost question.
As an Indian language and a political language, I have been giving Tamil a little consideration only to oppose Brahmins and Brahmincal hegemonic governance.”
(He himself has given evidicence that he did not oppose Hindi because of his love for Tamil — Author.)
“Tamil is a language of the barbaric age” (Periyar E.V.R. Thoughts Volume II)
“Tamil is a nuisance, Tamil poets (everyone) are enemies” (Book: Father Periyar, Poet Karunanandam)
“Why take mother’s milk (Tamil)? What purpose does it serve?
The first enemy of today’s progress is the people who drank mother’s breast milk.” (Periyar E.V.R. Thoughts Volume II)
This is his evaluation of Tamil. Today, those scholars who fight for Tamil should understand that he is their primary enemy.
(As an aside, Bharathidasan who said “I will not spare anyone who abuses Tamil, even if my mother stops me” being a disciple of Ramsamy Naicker scares me a little.)
Let us see what he who spoke so demeaningly about Tamil had proudly proclaimed about the English language.
