Virender Sehwag is one of the most outspoken cricketers. He was devastating with the bat and followed the same mantra during his commentatory stints and interviews. Sehwag was recently invited to The Club Prairie Fire podcast, but the legendary player didn’t hold back.

Adam Gilchrist asked him about the possibility of the Indian players competing in the other T20 leagues.

“There is no chance. We (Indians) are ruch people and we don’t play in T20 leagues of poor countries. I once got an offer from the Big Bash League and the money they were offering was less. I spent that much amount on my holidays. Even Sky Sports wanted me on their panel but they couldn’t afford me,” Virender Sehwag said.

Indian players play only in the Indian Premier League. The ongoing IPL 2024 is in full swing at the moment.

Viru also spoke about his aggressive batting approach. “My coach used to teach me about the technique, but I was aware that hitting fours and sixes requires skills, not the technique. I grew up with that philosophy and managed to take it to the international level.

“I started taking cricket seriously after the 10th standard. I didn’t look back and played in various age groups before making my debut for the Indian team.
