This 1958 Chevrolet Apache 3100 pickup was acquired by the current owner in 2021 and subsequently refurbished. Work included installing a 5.3-liter Vortec V8 and a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission, repainting the truck green, fitting TMI Products bucket seats, and replacing suspension, braking, and exhaust components. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 15″ American Racing wheels, a Heidts Mustang front end, four-wheel disc brakes, a dual-reservoir master brake cylinder, a sliding rear window, a receiver hitch, a Classic Auto Air climate control system, and a retro-style head unit. This Apache is offered on dealer consignment with refurbishment records and a clean North Carolina title in the owner’s name.
The truck was repainted green during the refurbishment. Details include a step-side bed, chrome bumpers, a left side mirror, a sliding rear window, a spray-on bedliner, a receiver hitch, and Chevrolet Apache badging.
Five-spoke 15″ American Racing wheels are mounted with 255/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. Braking equipment includes power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, a dual-reservoir master brake cylinder, and an adjustable proportioning valve. The truck is also equipped with power steering and a Heidts Mustang II front end. The ball joints, tie rods, and bushings were replaced during the refurbishment and the selling dealer states two leaves were removed from the rear suspension.
The cab is equipped with TMI Products high-back bucket seats upholstered in black leather with microsuede inserts. Additional appointments include a Classic Auto Air climate control system, a retro-style head unit, and an aftermarket center console with a folding jump seat.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River steering column and frames replacement AutoMeter gauges including a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The mechanical odometer shows 647 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 is fitted with an aluminum radiator and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. Refurbishment work included replacing the wiring harness, fuel pump, fuel lines, and spark plugs and wires as well as various gaskets, seals, O-rings, hoses, and sensors.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission and a replacement 8.5-inch rear axle with a limited-slip differential and 3.73:1 gearing.
