Aishwarya’s third release with Bhansali. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwwala under the banner of SLB Films and UTV Motion Pictures.

Hrithik Roshan is an accomplished magician in Goa, fate does its dole and paralyses Hrithik’s abounding joyful life turning him into a paraplegic. Confined to his own wheel chair Hrithik’s will power doesn’t drain with the mishap instead grows stronger and he becomes the Radio Jockey of an FM Station called Radio Zindagi spreading magic, hope and laughter through his power of wit and humor making it hard to believe that he is immobilized for about 14 years. Hrithik, it is heard, has depicted his traumatic role very differently. His bearded look adds to the difference. Hrithik’s life centers on Aishwarya Rai, his elegant nurse who has been caretaking him for twelve long years and they share a love that is silent and unspoken but true and beautiful to the core.

Fate again plays its role by killing the hopes of Hrithik at the fourteenth anniversary of his accident and he decides on mercy killing. He appeals to the court through a lawyer, Shernaz Patel, who happens to be his good friend too. She being very practical decides to support Hrithik. At the same time he is persuaded positively by Suhal Seth, his neuro physician but finally he too gets convinced by Hrithik.

With all these painful chaotic turns taking place, Aditya Roy kapoor approaches Hrithik expressing his desire to learn magic from the greatest magician. A passionate learner, Aditya excels in the lessons of magic and soon impresses Hrithik who in turn gets committed to passing on the legacy to Aditya. In spite of the favouravable current flowing through, Hrithik still does not go back on his mercy killing plea. Things take a new twist when Hrithik’s ex lover knowing Hrithik;s condition, re enters his life after 14 years, as a mother with a career of her own.

Hrithik’s nurse Aishwarya gradually falling in love with Hrithik, his ex lover entering the scene after 14 years, his new student Aditya passionately wielding the magic wand and Hrithik himself trying hard for mercy killing add painful heart wrenching twists to the storyline.

Cinematography is handled by Ravi K Chandran, an acclaimed cinematographer, who has already worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in movies Black and Saawariya. The script has been handled by Vibhu Puri and Bhavani Iyer.

Guzaarish numbers have already touched hearts and are still creating currents around. These melodious numbers breezing through hearts have their beautiful compositions emanate from the hands of the well commended Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself who makes his debut as a music director. Along with music and lyrics, the storyline also has been adeptly dealt by the producer. Bhansali has also lent his expertise in choreography of some songs. Though the storyline seems traumatic, the silent romance weaved in it is going to touch Aishwarya and Hrithik fans.

With a lot of ‘thirds’ to its credit, Sanjay’s third film with Aishwarya, Hrithik’s third film with Aishwarya and Ravi K. Chandran’s third film with Sanjay, it remains to be seen if the movie will be third time lucky too!
