A. Finding and playing songs

1. What is Google Music Search (India) Labs?
   
   Google Music Search (India) Labs is a service that allows you to find and listen to the music you want. You can search by artist, movie, album or song title.



2. Do I have to pay?
   
   Music search as offered by Google is a free service and you do not have to pay to use it. However, our partners may charge you for certain additional services that you may avail directly from their websites. Google does not control that and encourages you to refer to the information given on the partner's site.



3. How do I search for songs?
   
   Go to http://www.google.co.in/music and search for the music you want - enter a song title, artist, movie or album name in the search box and hit 'Search Music'.



4. Can I download the songs?
   
   Google Music Search (India) Labs allows you to listen to streaming music online from the partner's site, and does not offer the facility of downloading music directly. However, some of our partners may offer such a functionality.



5. How does Google Music Search (India) Labs do what it does?
   
   Google Music Search (India) Labs licenses meta-data of thousands of songs owned or licensed by partners to make them searchable on Internet. Once you search and find the music you want, our partners stream the music directly from their websites to your computer.



6. Can I search for songs within a particular album?
   
   You can search for song by movie name, artist name or title of the song.



7. Why aren't there any songs from the latest movie, "X"?
   
   Google Music Search (India) Labs offers music as available on our partners' sites. If you are unable to find a particular song or album, it means none of our partners have it on offer at this stage and we encourage you to come back and try again as it may have been added to our partner's repertoire.



8. Can I search for songs of a particular artist?
   
   On Google Music Search (India) Labs, you can search by movie, album, artist or actor.



9. How many times I can play song?
   
   You can listen to a track as many times as you want - there is no limit on the number of times you can play a track.



10. How can I get latest songs?
    
    You can try searching for Latest songs or Latest hindi songs and find latest songs.



11. Why is Google Music Search (India) a labs product?
    
    Google Labs is a playground where our more adventurous users can play around with prototypes of some of our wild and crazy ideas and offer feedback directly to the engineers who developed them. Please note that Labs products are experimental only and are not guaranteed to make it onto Google.com. While some of our crazy ideas might grow into the next Gmail or iGoogle, others might turn out to be, well, just plain crazy.

B. Legal and privacy

1. Are the songs Copyrighted?
   
   The Copyright in all the songs searchable on Google Music Search (India) Labs is owned by the owners of the distinct components of each song. Google has tied up with partners that either own the copyright or have appropriate licenses from copyright owners allowing them to use their content. In any case no music content is stored on Google systems.



2. Are these songs legally sourced?
   
   Google Music Search (India) Labs offers music from partners who have legal permission to stream online.
