Modifying your gadget settings
Access settings dialog Accessing the gadget settings:
Click on the down arrow button on the title bar of your gadget and select Edit Settings to see the settings that you can modify
New Window? Choosing where results appear:
Unselect the check box if you want your search results to open in the same page as your gadget. Leave the box selected if you want the results to open in a new window.
Restrict results

Restricting search results:
If you wish to restrict your search results to a specific site such as hi.wikipedia.org, type the name of the site in the dialog box.

If you would like to search through a collection of sites instead of a single site, you can configure your gadget to send the search query to a Custom Search Engine(CSE). Please see What is a Custom Search Engine? for more information or to learn how to create a CSE.

To direct your search queries to a CSE (such as this one which searches India related web sites), enter the Custom search engine id in the dialog box. The search engine id is the string called cx in the CSE URL. (For this particular example, enter 003912586442895025579:twilhkm1lmw into the search box).

Gadget syndication? Embedding gadgets in web pages:

If you would like to embed any of these gadgets on your web page, please go to our Google Gadgets for your Webpage directory and locate the gadget you area interested in. Click on the Add to your webpage button.

Please configure the gadget settings with your choice of site restrict or Custom Search Engine ID as descibed above. If you leave this setting blank, queries from your gadget will search the Web.

Click on the Get the code button and embed the code in your web page
