Testimonials

Team Aavishkar (Winners)

On the competition:
This competition has not only inspired the participants but many more to be Computer Engineers in working on independent initiatives. We have felt (previously absent) enthusiasm amongst our batch mates and juniors for participating in this competition and expect a lot more participation next year.

Thanks to Google for conducting this competition in a unique fashion which not only required the participants to innovate but also to convince others and sell their idea. Setting up of kiosk to demonstrate the developed products, helped us in getting much needed appreciation and feedback for further improvements. We have also learned that presentation and publicity of a product is as important as developing it. Emphasis on aspects like monetization, prospective users has provided us with a rich experience into all phases of product development.

On the Product Engineering Conclave:
It was a great learning experience for all of us. The exposure and ofcourse our reward will go a long way in building up our confidence to follow our dreams and try out new things. Although it was just first year of Product Engineering Conclave, we were highly satisfied with the programme. We really expect it to grow far above what it was this year.

Team Pioneers: (I Runners-Up)

On the competition:
The competition is a great platform for inspiring the student community. This led to an increase in the number of product ideas being discussed on campus and created an atmosphere more conducive to product development. Hopefully, the coming years would see much greater participation and better and more innovative product ideas.

The format of the competition was especially useful for us in paving the way for the final product. The feedback for the Product Prodigy Team was amazing, and helped us mold our product in a manner which increased its utility significantly. The suggestions we received during the course of the conclave were very valuable as well in terms of future enhancements we'd like to do.

On the Product Engineering Conclave:
The Product Engineering Conclave was a one-of-a-kind event and was very enlightening for all its participants. To meet so many inspirational people from the product development circles was a memorable experience we will cherish all our lives. Holding the final and prize distribution for Product Prodigy as part of such a great event was a terrific idea and we learnt a lot in relation to fostering and executing new and innovative ideas.

The Competition was well organized as a whole, and was very commendable, more so because it was the first year. However, there was often a communication gap between the contestants and the organizers with respect to some deadlines and what was expected when. Also, feedbacks could have been more detailed. A more frequently updated website might have been useful, especially to spread the message of product development among non participants.
