Unity in diversity
My India means we all Indians love cricket. In my doodle, I have drawn a cricket ball to show my India loves cricket madly. India has different religions. I have drawn Sikh boy to show Sikhism, ‘Om’ to show Hinduism, the cross to show Christianity and the crescent moon and star to show Islam. When My India sees our team playing cricket, we forget our diversity and all unite to cheer for India. This is our love to cricket and this is our unity because above all, we remain only Indians and salute our tricolour.

A pot seller
India is my home. I live in an Indian city called Mumbai, but my mother is from a small place near Delhi, which I visit very often. There, I have seen many villagers making clay pots. I thought I should represent India by showing how a potter works hard to make beautiful pots of different shapes and sizes on the potter’s wheel. He then sells them in the village market place.

India-towards peace
India is my country and I am proud to be Indian. But, in these violent times, what is needed most, for not only my country, but all over the world, is a ‘Gandhiji’. And if he cannot be called upon, then this planet is still lucky to have his ways and teachings to walk on a path of peace and humanity. For me, if Mahatma Gandhi leads, then India leads.

India has never invaded any country in the past 10,00 years of history and taught the world non-violence and peace by Gandhiji. Aryabhatta invented zero. Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine. 2600 years ago Sushrutha, father of surgery conducted complicated operations. Pythagorean Theorem was first explained by Budhayana. Chess, snakes and ladders, art of navigation, etc originated in India. Golden Soil of my India
According to Indian philosophy and culture, our body is made up of five elements: soil, water, air, fire and space. Amongst all, soil is the most important. Each cell of our body is made of soil and after death, we become a part of it again. A potter is a true representative of Indian art as he shows how even the most elementary thing can be converted into such beautiful and useful things. Millions of Indians use earthen pots to store water. The potter makes money out of the soil. Thus, ‘Golden Soil of My India’.
